This Privacy Policy explains how Locals Group (Hong Kong) Limited ("Localsbnb", "we", "us") collects, uses, and protects information when you visit localsbnb.com (the "Site") or use our channel-management services (the "Services").

If you are a guest of a property managed by one of our customers, that customer decides why your booking details are used. We process those details only to provide the Services to that customer.

2. Information We Collect

  • Information you provide: contact details and messages you submit through forms or email on the Site.
  • Account information: name, email address, login credentials, company or host details, and configuration you provide when you register for or administer a Localsbnb account.
  • Property and listing information: property, room, rate, availability, and listing content that hosts enter or synchronize through the Services.
  • Booking and guest information: reservation details received from hosts or from booking channels a host connects, such as guest name, contact details, stay dates, and reservation status. We use this information to deliver the Services to the host.
  • Messages: guest and host messages sent through the inbox features of the Services.
  • Billing information: subscription plan, billing contact, and transaction records needed to charge for the Services. Card payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store your full card number on our servers.
  • Usage information: basic technical data such as browser type, pages visited, and approximate region, collected through standard web analytics.

3. How We Use Information

We use the information we collect to operate and improve the Site and our services, respond to inquiries, provide customer support, authenticate users, synchronize listings and reservations the host has chosen to connect, bill for subscriptions, and comply with legal obligations. We do not sell your personal information.

4. YouTube API Services Disclosure

In connection with our internal content publishing operations, we use YouTube API Services to upload our own originally-produced videos to our own official YouTube channel (youtube.com/@localsbnb).

  • Our use of YouTube API Services adheres to the YouTube API Services Terms of Service.
  • Data transferred via YouTube API Services is also protected by the Google Privacy Policy.
  • We do not upload, process, or distribute any third-party or user-generated content through YouTube API Services, and we do not share YouTube data with third parties.
  • Any YouTube account data accessed through our tools is used only for authentication and publishing, and is not stored beyond what is operationally necessary.
  • You can revoke our application's access to your Google account at any time via Google Security & Permissions Settings.

5. When We Share Information

We share personal information only in these cases:

  • with service providers that host, support, or process payments for the Site and Services, and only for those purposes;
  • with booking channels and other tools a host chooses to connect, so that listings, availability, prices, reservations, and messages can be synchronized;
  • if we are required to do so by law, regulation, or a valid legal process; and
  • in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of the business, with notice where required by law.

YouTube data is not shared with third parties, as described in section 4.

6. International Transfers

We are established in Hong Kong and serve hosts in more than one country. Information may be processed in Hong Kong and in other places where we, our service providers, or the channels a host connects operate. We take reasonable steps to protect information when it is transferred.

7. Data Retention and Deletion

We retain personal information only as long as necessary for the purposes described above. You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information by emailing localsbnbservice@gmail.com. We will respond to verified requests within a reasonable timeframe. We may keep information we are required to retain for legal, tax, or security reasons.

8. Cookies

The Site may use essential cookies and standard analytics cookies. Essential cookies keep you signed in and keep the Site secure. You can control cookies through your browser settings. Blocking essential cookies may prevent parts of the Services from working.

9. Data Security

We apply reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information under our control. No method of transmission over the Internet is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

10. Children

The Site and Services are intended for businesses and adults managing properties. They are not directed at children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
